4 Palestinians Killed by Israeli Shot

GAZA, iNews - Demonstrations of thousands of Palestinians on the Gaza border are marked by shootings. At least three people were shot dead by Israeli soldiers in a demonstration that took place on Friday (30/3/2018).

Thus, the number of Gazans killed by Israel since Friday morning reached four people. Another is a farmer who was shot by bullets from Israeli tanks while in his field.

The Palestinian health ministry said three protesters were shot dead near the border but in different places. Two of the latest known deaths were named Mohammed Abu Amar and Mohammed Abu Muammar.

While a demonstrator who was shot earlier was Mohammed Najjar. The 25-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

Israel tightened security on the border following a massive demonstration called 'The Great March of Return' on Friday at the border. Hundreds of demonstrators have previously set up tents near the heavily fortified border fence of Israeli troops.

This action in response greeted 6 weeks before the transfer of the embassy office of the United States (US) to Jerusalem on 14 May.

Earlier Israeli military chief of staff, Gadi Eisenkot, said it deployed security forces in large quantities, including more than 100 snipers or sniper shooters, which are placed along the border.
